IT之家 October 6 (10/6) news: LG Electronics announced yesterday, local time, that its North American branch has reached ainvolving a scale exceeding 5GWlong-term supply agreement for advanced chillers for artificial intelligence data centers (AIDC) with HVAC service company AIR Control Concepts.
AIR handles hyperscale infrastructure projects in major North American data center hubs, and its main customers are the world's leading data center operators. This long-term contract will accelerate LG's entry into the global AIDC cooling market, meeting the growing demand of computing infrastructure for efficient heat dissipation solutions.

LG's AIDC chillers combine an air-cooled centrifugal structure with refrigerant free-cooling technology, using cold outdoor air to reduce the compressor cooling load. According to LG's internal simulations, refrigerant free-cooling technology can save about 30% more energy per year than water-cooled technology。
