IT Home reported on October 7 that Deepal Auto officially announced the 2027 Deepal L06 today. The new car is positioned as a “long-range magnetorheological AI coupe” and is claimed to carry two “lobsters.”
Deepal Auto Chairman Deng Chenghao stated thatthe two “lobsters” of the 2027 Deepal L06 are AI Agent and AI Box, which support understanding the driver’s intent from a single sentence.
Currently, Deepal Auto has not yet announced the specific launch time of the 2027 Deepal L06. According to previous IT Home reports,the all-new special edition Deepal L06 that debuted at the Chengdu Auto Show is named Deepal L06 Zhuifeng Edition and will go on sale in October。
The car is equipped with a full track-style racing kit, including a front three-dimensional wind blade with an integrated front splitter, side skirt wind blade decorative trim pieces, and a fixed genuine carbon fiber large rear wing. After aerodynamic optimization, the vehicle can generate up to 1000N of downforce at high speed, enhancing body posture control.

The “magnetorheological” in the name of the 2027 Deepal L06 refers to magnetorheological suspension (MRC) technology: the shock absorber tubes are filled with magnetorheological fluid containing iron powder. Without a magnetic field, the fluid is soft and effectively filters out bumps; when energized, the iron powder instantly aligns into chains, the fluid thickens, and the suspension stiffens accordingly to stabilize the body, with no valve core wear throughout. The system can perform 1000 damping adjustments per second, with a response speed at the millisecond level, far faster than traditional CDC suspension.
The Deepal L06 is the first domestically produced model to be mass-produced with magnetorheological suspension; previously this technology was exclusive to million-yuan-level supercars such as the Ferrari 296 GTB.
The AI Box mentioned in the article was built by Deepal Auto in partnership with Intel, based on the Intel Core Ultra platform, bringing PC-level high-performance on-device AI computing power into the car, and debuted at the Intel Technology Innovation and Industry Ecosystem Conference on September 22, 2026. With the support of on-device large models, the cockpit can actively draw on voice and visual data to perceive the environment and anticipate needs, while user behavior data is stored only locally.
The name of the Deepal L06 Zhuifeng Edition originated from user co-creation. Deepal Auto Chairman Deng Chenghao previously revealed that the team saw many owners installing their own front splitters, side skirts, and rear wings in owner groups and on the road, so they decided to “let the official do it,” in response to owners’ calls for “attitude straight from the factory”; the car also comes with an exclusive yellow paint color.
The Zhuifeng Edition debuted at the event on September 28, 2026 marking Deepal Auto’s 1,000,000th complete vehicle rolling off the production line and the launch conference of the all-new Deepal S07 AI Laser Edition, the latter with a limited-time discounted price of 149,900 to 169,900 yuan.
For reference, the standard Deepal L06 was officially launched on November 18, 2025, with a total of four configuration variants priced from 132,900 yuan, all standard with lidar and two Horizon J6M chips, and debuting with the Deepal intelligent driving assistance system DEEPAL AD Max.
