IT Home On October 8, according to tech media The Verge, Microsoft today focused on introducing the MXC (Microsoft Execution Containers) SDK at the Windows and Surface event, describing it as an important part of the Windows AI strategy.

According to the introduction, MXC aims to provide a relatively independent execution environment for AI agents, enabling them to execute code, call tools, and complete tasks within a controlled environment, thus reducing the exposure of sensitive user data. For Windows, this tool allows agents to perform more complex operations locally, rather than simply answering questions.
At the same time, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella regarded trust, intelligence, and “AI that integrates into human ambition” as the three pillars of a cutting-edge ecosystem. He believes that products such as Agent 365 and Microsoft IQ will become key Microsoft products. MXC will address how AI agents can operate safely and execute tasks under control within this framework.
IT Home notes that Microsoft has not yet released the full technical details, open scope, and launch time for MXC.
