IT之家 October 8 news — Microsoft today showcased several third-party agent tools at its Surface product launch event. Among them, Perplexity's "Portable Computer" tool can execute a variety of complex AI tasks on-device, without consuming Perplexity cloud credits.

IT之家 noted that Pavan Davuluri, head of Microsoft's Windows and Devices division, said at the event thatMeta's Muse agent will come to the Windows platform as a native application, with integration of the MXC SDK.
In addition, Microsoft will also introduce a brand-new "Getting Started Guide" in Windows to help users configure and run AI agents faster and more easily. OpenClaw will also launch a native Windows gateway.
