Tencent's AI office tool WorkBuddy today announced the official launch of its independent file browser feature. Users only need to right-click a target file in the system file explorer to directly invoke the browser for independent viewing and editing.

The new interface adopts a brand-new layout with the document content shown on the left and the AI conversation on the right, allowing local files to be seamlessly connected to AI large models. The system not only supports tab switching to process multiple documents simultaneously, but can also automatically keep the conversation history of the corresponding files in sync.

Supports Multi-Format Human-Machine Collaboration with Real-Time Saving of Results

This feature is broadly compatible with mainstream office and web file formats such as Word, Excel, PPT, PDF, and Markdown. Users can not only ask the AI questions or request summaries at any time, but can also directly select specific paragraphs of the body text and have the AI perform targeted rewriting, polishing, and content supplementation.

When processing editable documents, the AI's modifications are automatically synced to the current interface. Users only need to manually click save or press a shortcut key for the changes to be directly written back to and overwrite the local original file, greatly improving the efficiency of daily office work and document processing.
