On October 10, Tencent Cloud open-sourced the team AI collaboration tool TeamAI (github.com/Tencent/teamai-cli), a project already in internal use at Tencent Cloud that has made it onto GitHub Trending.
Reportedly, TeamAI is built on Git, placing team Skills, work standards, tool configurations, and project knowledge into a unified repository, allowing review, updates, and version management just like code, then syncing them to each member's own Agent to achieve configure once, reuse for everyone. It is currently compatible with 16 kinds of Agents including WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
When a member submits a skill, a branch is automatically created and a merge request is opened for review; after merging, Agents that support session-start Hooks can automatically pull updates at the start of new conversations. The shared scope also covers MCP tool configurations, Rules, and sub-Agents, and unified distribution of model configurations was recently added.
TeamAI prompts members to share their experience when sessions show repeated corrections or tool call failures, which the Agent then organizes into documents stored in the repository for later retrieval. An official test involving 13 development tasks showed that lower-cost models with access to team knowledge improved their overall score by 6.1% while model invocation costs dropped by 76%. The tool has also been integrated into Tencent Cloud's agent management platform ClawPro.
