Vipshop Launches In-House AI Assistant "AI Xiaowei": AI Shopping Guidance Enters a Phase of Deep Capability Building

According to Sina Tech, Vipshop recently launched its self-developed AI assistant "AI Xiaowei", developed by Vipshop's large model team. It supports text and voice interaction and can provide services such as product search, campaign queries, and discount consultations, further bringing large model capabilities into e-commerce shopping guidance scenarios.

At the same time, Vipshop is increasing its recruitment of large model talent. According to recruitment platform information, the company is hiring for core positions including Head of Large Model Post-Training, Head of LLM Data Synthesis, and Head of Large Model SFT Text Data, with monthly salaries ranging from 50,000 to 80,000 yuan, corresponding to annual salaries of 600,000 to 960,000 yuan.

Reportedly, these positions will focus on building the capabilities of "AI Xiaowei", covering modules such as shopping intent recognition, product understanding, recommendation generation, and multi-turn dialogue. By defining data requirements for each capability, building supporting datasets, continuously diagnosing model weaknesses, and carrying out iterative optimization, they will enhance the assistant's service capabilities.

From the product launch to core talent planning, Vipshop is advancing the integration of large models with its e-commerce business. How to improve product matching, personalized recommendations, and conversational interaction through model training will become a key factor in whether the AI assistant can improve the shopping experience.
