Tencent’s all-scenario AI office workbench, WorkBuddy, has announced the integration of Step5Preview, Tencent’s latest flagship model, and it will be available to users for free for a two-week exclusive trial starting today. Leveraging the model’s reasoning and Agent capabilities, WorkBuddy can support office tasks such as in-depth research, information retrieval, data analysis, document and PPT generation, and it can also continuously execute multi-step complex tasks.
Step5Preview is a new generation flagship base model launched by Stepwise, optimized for scenarios such as AI programming, software engineering, professional knowledge work, and finance. The model uses a sparse mixed expert (MoE) architecture with a total parameter count of 600 billion, and approximately 27 billion parameters are activated per Token, aiming to balance flagship-level comprehensive intelligence, execution efficiency, and usage cost.
According to the Artificial Analysis ranking by the global large-scale model evaluation organization, the Step5Preview comprehensive intelligence index reached 44 points, placing it among the top three global open-source models. Last week, the model topped the OpenRouter Trending list and ranked second in the daily list based on token usage, indicating high model popularity and active developer usage.
This integration will further expand WorkBuddy’s model capabilities in complex office tasks, and provides new channels for the Stepwise model to accumulate real-world applications and user feedback.
