IT Home On October 12, AMD announced today, local time, the Helion rack solution for proxy-based artificial intelligence computing workloads.

This rack is based on the OCP design specifications and the open platform concept of the AMD Helios rack solution. Partners and customers can flexibly combine various CPU and GPU computing resources according to their needs. The pure CPU version based on the sixth-generation EPYC processor can be expanded up to 32,768 cores.
AMD plans to contribute the AMD Helion specification to OCP, allowing it to be further developed and adopted by the community. AMD is working with ecosystem partners to develop the Helion rack, with a planned official launch in November 2026.
