IT之家 On October 13, TCL presented its flagship CPE device X5 at the Network X 2026 conference in Vienna, Austria, today.
TCL claims that the X5 is a comprehensive smart AI 5G CPE. It features natural language interaction, AI network optimization, application-aware flow control, proactive diagnosis and self-recovery, as well as an expandable AI service platform. It is designed specifically for households and small businesses seeking high-quality broadband experiences and can meet various needs such as remote work, gaming, and smart home connectivity.

The TCL X5 supports the 3GPP Release 18 standard, with a theoretical peak downlink rate of up to 7.01 Gbps. It uses an 8Rx radio frequency architecture and has 4 13dB directional C-band antennas and 4 omnidirectional C-band antennas. The downlink throughput is up to 51% higher than that of a 4Rx design.
In addition, it adopts a unified agent architecture, supports local multi-agent scheduling, has integrated models and skill libraries, as well as a unified runtime environment.
