Recently, Doubao Work has continued to update, launching a “Data Import & Sync” feature that supports one-click data import from other AI products, and introducing capabilities such as “Continue in a New Conversation,” message annotations, and a conversation summary sidebar, further optimizing the conversation experience for work tasks.
According to the introduction, Doubao Work’s “Data Import & Sync” feature supports one-click import of locally stored task preference instructions, skills, connectors, working memory, projects, and historical conversations from adapted products such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, and TraeWork. When users switch to Doubao Work, they can carry over their existing work preferences and materials, reducing repeated configuration and the need to re-explain background information. Imported conversations retain their original context, and users can continue the conversations directly within Doubao Work.
Users can perform the operation on the “Data Import & Sync” page in “Settings”; for sources that support automatic sync, syncing can also be enabled as needed.
Regarding the conversation experience, “Continue in a New Conversation” allows users to try alternative approaches based on an existing discussion, or to switch models and continue exploring. After selecting the feature entry on the corresponding message, the existing context is automatically brought into the new conversation, and the original conversation is also preserved for easy review at any time. Users can carry over the existing background to develop new lines of thought separately while keeping the original discussion mainline, reducing the burden of different directions intertwining in the same conversation.
In addition, users can select specific content in a Doubao reply and use message annotations to add explanations or raise questions; the original text and annotation are automatically brought into the input box, and multiple segments can also be sent together. This approach links questions, supplementary explanations, or modification requests to the specific original text, reducing the communication cost of repeatedly quoting text and explaining what is being referred to. The newly added conversation summary sidebar centrally displays the tasks in progress, conversation outputs, skills, and connectors, making it easier to understand task progress and find existing results.
