On October 22, at the 2026 Meituan Delivery Industry Conference, Meituan officially released "Miaoshou Delivery Edition · Kangaroo Butler". Xue Bing, General Manager of Meituan Delivery, announced that a "AI Store Manager" that understands delivery operations will be provided free of charge to restaurant merchants nationwide.
Data disclosed at the conference showed that in the first half of 2026, the delivery revenue growth rate of restaurant merchants exceeded the national average restaurant revenue growth. Xue Bing said, "The delivery industry has entered a positive and improving phase, and Meituan will help merchants optimize store formats, operations, and product innovation to achieve growth with greater substance."
It is reported that "Miaoshou Delivery Edition" is an AI operations product recently developed by Meituan Delivery for merchants. Its capabilities cover core scenarios such as business diagnosis, store inspections, product operations, and new store operations. It can provide analysis and suggestions by combining Meituan's and merchants' data, and assist merchants in execution and follow-up on results.
Previously, tens of thousands of small and medium-sized merchants had already taken the lead in using "Miaoshou Delivery Edition" in their daily operations. A chicken pot restaurant in Yuanshi County, Hebei Province used "Miaoshou Delivery Edition" for store diagnosis; after adjusting the menu and optimizing promotions, weekly order volume rose by more than 30% month over month. In addition, "Miaoshou Delivery Edition" has also partnered with more than 200 chain brands including Guming, Yihetang, and Lanxiangzi. Taking Yihetang as an example, after using it, the single-store output of newly opened stores in the first month increased by 25%.
The operational experience and data Meituan has accumulated from long-term service to restaurant merchants enable "Miaoshou Delivery Edition" to apply AI capabilities to the specific business of each store. "We hope that through AI, professional delivery operation capabilities can enter every store, so that every store can receive more detailed and better-suited operational support," Xue Bing said.
Xue Bing summarized product innovation, store format innovation, and AI innovation as the "Delivery Efficiency Triangle," with Meituan helping merchants convert growth into profit. In terms of store format innovation, Meituan launched a new generation of professional delivery store format, the "Super Kitchen," which meets demand with larger space and a richer variety of categories, and provides merchants with support in commercial district site selection, product selection, kitchen layout, and workflow design. Through a production scheduling system, it connects food preparation, cooking, and sorting. Data shows that a Super Kitchen can handle thousands of orders per day. Taking a partner store of Guangzhou Restaurant as an example, meal preparation time was shortened from 18 minutes to about 8 minutes, with monthly profit reaching 65,000 yuan. Xue Bing revealed that in the coming year, Meituan Delivery plans to jointly build the first batch of 1,000 Super Kitchens with more full-dining brands.
