IT Home On October 25, according to a report by Business Insider today, Google DeepMind executive Lila Ibrahim said recently that the company is placing more emphasis on candidates who can prove themselves outside the classroom, continual learners.
The executive said that although education is still important, company recruitment now places more emphasis on the candidate’s experience. For example, one level of experience can tell the interviewer what you have studied, while multiple levels of experience indicate a continuous learning mindset.
She also revealed that current fresh graduates often describe in more detail what they have learned outside formal education in their resumes, and list these experiences along with their work and educational backgrounds. These additional details are crucial for DeepMind, as they help determine whether the applicant has curiosity and whether they are prepared to continue learning throughout their lives.
According to the original report from IT Home, Ibrahim also believes that diverse learning experiences can help people ask better questions. However, schools have not effectively developed this ability. With the emergence of AI today, the cost of getting answers has become extremely low, but truly knowing how to ask good questions has become increasingly difficult.
