IT Home On October 27, Apple today pushed the visionOS 27.2 update (build number: 24N120) to Vision Pro users. This update comes 28 days after the last official release.
Note that due to cache configuration issues on Apple's regional node servers, some locations may detect the upgrade update with a slight delay, generally within half an hour, not too long.
Siri AI updates (not yet available in China)
New languages: Siri AI adds support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish; previously only English was supported.
App data exclusion: A new Excluded Apps setting lets you choose which apps' data cannot be accessed by Siri, Search, and system suggestions, enhancing privacy control.
Finer text operations: Siri's answers support selecting and copying partial text instead of copying entire passages.
AI images and FaceTime
SynthID watermark detection: Photos and Image Playground add SynthID support to help identify images created or modified by generative AI tools.
FaceTime accessibility features: During calls, you can add a third-party sign language interpreter or live captioner, improving the communication experience for hearing-impaired and sign language users.
Fixes and installation
Apple's official release notes summarize this update as "bug fixes and security updates" and do not list a complete list of security vulnerabilities. The developer release notes also mention that after opening a 3D object from Safari, moving the object may cause unexpected repositioning, which is a documented known issue in this version.
On Vision Pro, go to Settings > General > Software Update to install. The headset must be removed during the update, and a progress bar will appear on the EyeSight display.
