IT之家 October 27 news: the Hurun Research Institute released the 2026 Hurun China Rich List. This year, a total of 1,529 entrepreneurs with personal wealth of over RMB 5 billion made it onto the Hurun Rich List, an increase of 95 from last year and a record high. The total wealth of the listed entrepreneurs is RMB 32 trillion, up 7% year-on-year (RMB 2.1 trillion).
In addition, the number of entrepreneurs at the 100-billion-yuan level increased by 2 to 43; the number of entrepreneurs at the 10-billion-yuan level increased by 69 to 819.
ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming became China's richest person for the second time with RMB 670 billion,setting a new wealth record for China's richest person; Nongfu Spring founder Zhong Shanshan's wealth shrank by RMB 120 billion, and he slipped to second place with RMB 410 billion, giving up the title of richest person.
Notably,DeepSeek's Liang Wenfeng made the list for the first time with wealth of RMB 280 billion, entering the top ten (in seventh place). Next is Unitree Robotics' 36-year-old Wang Xingxing, who made the list with RMB 69.5 billion; semiconductor display panel company HKC's 56-year-old Wang Zhiyong ranked third with RMB 64.5 billion.
The biggest wealth gainer was Zhang Yiming, up RMB 200 billion from last year; Hengli's Chen Jianhua and Fan Hongwei couple gained RMB 112 billion; King sliding rail maker Chuanhu Technology's Lin Congji family gained RMB 104 billion. Entrepreneurs in the semiconductor and AI computing power sectors saw particularly notable wealth growth. The best performers over the past year were new quality productive forces sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, robotics, and new energy.
In addition, among the listed entrepreneurs,those involved in AI with AI as their leading direction account for 10.4%, whereas the lists in 2019 and earlier had no one with AI as their main business. Furthermore,new energy accounts for 6.5%，high-end equipment for 6.4%, AR/VR/MR for 5%, robotics for 4.9%, Web3 for 1.8%, new materials for 1.5%, social media for 1.2%, and the low-altitude economy for 0.8%.
