At today's 2026 Zhiyuan Innovation Day (AIGBOT INNOVATION DAY), Zhiyuan co-founder, President and CTO Peng Zhihui proposed for the first time Worken (Effective Intelligent Working Hours), a value metric for Physical AI, used to measure the actual output of robots' autonomous operations.

The Worken formula is: Effective Intelligent Working Hours = Number of Active Robots × Autonomous Working Duration × Output Efficiency Ratio. This metric aims to break through the limitation of simply counting the number of robots manufactured, further assessing whether robots can autonomously and continuously complete valuable work, as well as the scale of results actually created.

At the same time, the "2026 Embodied Intelligence Industry Innovation Report," jointly compiled by Xinhua News Agency's China Economic Information Service and the Shanghai Industrial Innovation Center of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, was officially released. The report builds an analysis framework for the development of the embodied intelligence industry and an evaluation model for leading enterprises; as a leading enterprise, Zhiyuan's Worken metric and related deployed-state examples were included in it.

As the embodied intelligence industry moves from scale expansion to a stage of actual value verification, the proposal of Worken provides a quantifiable reference for the effectiveness of robots' autonomous operations, and is expected to drive the industry's evaluation system to evolve from "quantity-oriented" to "output-oriented.".
