IT Home On November 2, according to Sina Technology’s report today, the first CMG World Robot Mount Tai Competition started in Tai'an, Shandong. The track runs from Hongmen to Zhongtianmen, covering a total length of 3.9 kilometers and over 3100 steps. It features continuous stone steps and steep slopes with turns as its main challenges, testing the robots’ movement and autonomous decision-making abilities in complex mountainous environments.
In the foot-style robot race, the Beijing Lingyi Technology team under Yu Shu Technology competed with the Yu Shu A2 robot dog. With a actual time of 41 minutes and 41 seconds (IT Home note: final score was 43 minutes and 41 seconds, with a penalty of 2 minutes), they won the foot-style robot race championship. The A2 used a fully autonomous mode throughout the race, perceiving and making decisions in real time, allowing it to move steadily and quickly on irregular stone steps.
The Shanghai Gaoyi Technology Team added two silver medals to Yushi: Yushi A2 won the runner-up in the foot-style robot race, and Yushi B2 won the runner-up in the foot-style robot weight-bearing race. For B2, the effective weight during the Wanxianlou — Doumu Palace section was 66kg, while the actual weight with the support was 74kg. It climbed the stairs steadily with full load.
According to reports, due to time and energy constraints during this event, Yu Shu’s official team sent only two quad robots, A2 and B2, to participate in the quad robot racing competition and the quad robot weight-bearing competition. Many independent teams also participated spontaneously after secondary development of Yu Shu products, demonstrating a strong developer ecosystem.
On November 2, the first CMG World Robot Mount Tai Competition began in Tai'an, Shandong. Nearly 90 teams competed together during this event, with the real-life mountain competition starting at Hongmen to Zhongtianmen (3100 steps, 600 meters of elevation gain) along the thousand-year trail. According to CCTV news reports, after intense competition, several championships were announced:
In the racing segment of the humanoid robot race (Hongmen Square — Doumu Palace), the Zhi Shen Lingyue team won the championship with a final time of 27 minutes and 26 seconds.
Humanoid Robot Race Challenge Segment (Doumu Palace — Huotian Pavilion), the team of Zhi Shen Lingyue won the “Daring to Reach the Peak Award”, with a time of 55 minutes and 34 seconds.
The Beijing Lingyi Technology Team won the foot-style robot racing championship with a total time of 43 minutes and 41 seconds.
Lingxi Smart Lingxi Team’s final score was 400 points, with a time of 1 hour 51 minutes and 29 seconds, and they won the foot-style robot weight lifting competition.
It is worth noting that during the middle of today’s match, a developed version of YuShu robot G1 encountered problems due to overheating. For safety reasons, the operator chose to withdraw from the competition. The staff then placed the robot on a stretcher and carried it down the mountain.
