AI video large model company AIsphere announced the official opening of its Hong Kong office at Hong Kong Cyberport, positioned not merely as an office but as an AI hub radiating to local enterprises, government, universities, and creators. Operational from opening day, the company plans to recruit local staff and organize industry events, gradually building a "Hong Kong AI video stronghold."
Timed with Hong Kong's first five-year plan (2026–2030) and the Policy Address's strong push for "AI +", AIsphere simultaneously launched the "Digital-Intelligent Hong Kong · AIsphere AI Hundred Industries Co-Creation Initiative." Co-founder and President Xie Xuzhang said Hong Kong offers an international outlook, research foundations, and creative industries, and the company aims to be an AI hub connecting all sectors. Multiple partnerships were signed on site: with spatial intelligence company XGRIDS, integrating 3D reconstruction and video generation, targeting film, tourism, and real estate; with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, bringing AI video into humanities classrooms, combining Chinese history for digital storytelling education; and with groups such as the Fujian Sanming Association Youth Committee and Hong Kong Youth New Vision, using AI for anti-fraud public welfare content and youth exchanges between the mainland and Hong Kong.
PixVerse R2 Debuts: A World Model That Lets You "Watch and Play"
The biggest eye-catcher in the exhibition hall was PixVerse R2, the world's first general-purpose real-time world model with Scaling capability. Unlike traditional AI video's "pre-recorded, fixed-length, one-way output," it can perform real-time generation and interaction modeling of visuals and sound, letting users change the world while inputting commands—virtual characters "live with memory," understand multiple languages, and respond to actions according to causality. Guests in gaming, interactive film, and digital human scenarios used natural language to instantly change character states, environments, camera angles, and plot branches, moving from "watching" into "speaking things into existence."
Founded in 2023, Aishi Technology's PixVerse and its mainland "Paiwo AI" product already cover 177 countries, with cumulative registered users exceeding 1.7 hundred million (1.7亿); this July (7月) it just completed a Series C funding round of nearly 30亿 yuan, with investors including Alibaba, CDH Investments, and Wang Huiwen's family office, among others. This move to set up in Hong Kong both leverages the city's advantages in film, television, culture and tourism to embed real-time world models into industry, and echoes the SAR government's push to attract cutting-edge AI companies.
