According to Bloomberg, artificial intelligence company Anthropic revealed to potential investors that its 2026 third-quarter revenue reached 16.8 billion US dollars, and it achieved adjusted profitability. Anthropic, which developed the Claude model, held an investor presentation at its San Francisco headquarters on Wednesday local time, disclosing that the company had achieved positive free cash flow as of the third quarter, with an adjusted gross margin of 85% and an adjusted operating margin of over 11%.
Informed sources said Anthropic plans to launch its initial public offering (IPO) roadshow as early as the week of November 9, targeting a listing before Thanksgiving and aiming to complete its IPO within the year. However, the relevant timing may still change. Bloomberg previously reported that Anthropic hopes this IPO will reach or even exceed the scale of SpaceX's listing.
Anthropic's latest operating figures contrast with its previous losses. Bloomberg disclosed that the company's 2025 revenue was about 4.6 billion US dollars, higher than the 386 million US dollars in 2024, but its full-year net loss was close to 42 billion US dollars, with an operating loss exceeding 8 billion US dollars. Meanwhile, Anthropic is facing pressure from competitors such as OpenAI and Meta. Meta recently launched the Muse Wonder model, claiming it already has capabilities comparable to ChatGPT and Claude in programming as well as handling finance and legal questions. AI safety issues and cyberattack incidents caused by agents have also increased market attention to the risks of related companies.
According to reports, some investors had previously given valuation expectations for Anthropic of about 1.8 trillion to 2 trillion US dollars. Its listing process and investors' feedback on its latest financial performance will become an important window for observing the commercialization capability of AI companies and capital market valuations. Meanwhile, data center operator AirTrunk has postponed its Singapore IPO to 2027, and the listing plan of Australian data center company Firmus has also failed, while Anthropic still strives to push forward with its listing within the year.
