Accelerating the Digitalization of Industrial Scenarios

China has the most complete range of industrial categories in the world, as well as the world's richest and most complex industrial scenarios, with clear differences across industries, production modes, and manufacturing processes. To drive the upgrading of industry from large to strong, scenario digitalization is a key lever. "Digitalization is the foundation of industrial intelligence. The digitalization of industrial scenarios is an ongoing process. Although some scenarios have already been digitalized, more elements and higher-quality digitalization are still needed to further improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance core competitiveness," said a Hikvision representative.

Facing tens of thousands of industrial scenarios, Hikvision has continuously expanded a full range of sensing technologies including visible light, infrared, millimeter wave, X-ray, and sound waves, and relying on the systematic advantages of "abundant, fast, accurate, and economical" of the Hikvision Guanlan large model, it is accelerating the digitalization and upgrading of industrial scenarios, helping users solve specific problems in real scenarios. At this year's industry fair, the series of large-model products and solutions exhibited by Hikvision provided new solutions to many specific problems in the industrial field, capable of both cracking long-unresolved "old problems" in the industry and helping tackle "new challenges" arising from manufacturing upgrades.

The large-model production line behavior SOP detection solution on display is a typical application of using AI large models to crack the industry's "old problems." Facing long-standing pain points such as frequent production line changeovers in manufacturing, hard-to-control process operations, and high AI deployment costs, this solution comes with out-of-the-box common production line algorithms, presenting operations in real time on the production floor, with immediate alarms for anomalies and guidance for workers to correct them; for new workpieces and new scenarios, only 1-8 images are needed to register and generate a new model, enabling minute-level deployment; paired with zero-code orchestration software and the LA client, AI intelligent inspection solutions can be easily built to efficiently meet complex production line control needs, pressing the "fast-forward button" for smart manufacturing upgrades.

Hikvision has deeply integrated large models into the field of non-destructive testing in industrial manufacturing, bringing new precision to industry quality inspection. At this year's industry fair, Hikray officially released a high-precision 3D AXI inspection device for semiconductor packaging. The device can perform 3D image reconstruction and defect analysis, is equipped with an X-ray industrial non-destructive testing large model, and automatically identifies micro-defects inside chips as small as one-hundredth of a human hair, with detail resolution below 1 micron and geometric magnification of up to 2500x, pushing detection capability further into the sub-micron level. Wang Wei, President of Hikray, said: "Beyond production inspection, this product can also enter research institutes and laboratories as a metrology device. This means our products are beginning to extend toward higher-precision measurement."

In the past, ultrasonic quality inspection technology was mostly applied in specialized industries such as aerospace. Through its ultrasonic large model, Hikvision has lowered the threshold for using this technology, bringing this high-end inspection method to component inspection in emerging industries such as new energy vehicles and semiconductors. The ultrasonic non-destructive testing product series on display innovatively performs AI modeling, quantitative analysis, and classification recognition on raw ultrasonic signals—pioneering in the industry—to achieve real-time detection. With a built-in ultrasonic large model, detection efficiency and accuracy are greatly improved. In practical applications for new energy vehicle component inspection, the defect recognition accuracy is ≥99.5% and the miss rate is ≤0.5%. Ultrasonic microscopes can go even deeper inside chips for AI quality inspection, precisely capturing micron-level defects.

In the "deep-water zone" of industry, there are many long-unresolved problems: a large number of industrial equipment and facilities run day and night, and safety monitoring requires both high precision and wide coverage. Hikvision pioneered the industry's first positioning-type stethoscopic optical fiber, equipped with an industrial auscultation large model, which can perform "thread-based pulse diagnosis" on belt idlers, monitoring idler operating status around the clock for 24 hours, automatically identifying and precisely locating anomalies such as loose idlers and damaged bearings, easily solving inspection challenges.

In high-temperature production processes reaching thousands of degrees Celsius, temperature measurement accuracy directly determines production success. The Hikmicro four-in-one high-definition visible-light pyrometer is equipped with the Hikvision Guanlan industrial temperature measurement large model, achieving for the first time in the industry a deep fusion of high-precision temperature measurement and high-definition video, cracking the industry problems of overexposure and color distortion under strong light at high temperatures and traditional video pyrometers' inability to "see clearly and aim accurately." Even under extreme high-temperature conditions of 3200℃, it can clearly reproduce the real scene and details of the industrial site, helping users precisely control production quality.

In addition, the fusion of IoT sensing and AI large models has also given rise to a series of products covering more scenarios. In the quality inspection zone, the infrared temperature measurement and analysis camera series brings an "AI temperature measurement" solution to production lines: AI capability is deeply integrated into thermal imagers, enabling real-time precise temperature measurement of moving workpieces; paired with the large-model SOP training-inference all-in-one machine, defect detection algorithms can be quickly generated, effectively improving product yield.

In the equipment monitoring zone, the Yunmu (Cloud Eyes) intelligent agent equipped with a multimodal large model acts as the factory's "digital employee," automatically completing management tasks such as factory patrols and energy consumption reviews with a single sentence.

In the production operations zone, six new scanning PDA products equipped with AI large models make barcodes in special scenarios "available with one scan"—for example, in CNC workshops with splashing cutting fluid, they can precisely scan DPM codes on metal parts, and standing on the ground, they can read barcodes on racks 10 meters high. The ChatBI data analysis intelligent agent can take on tasks, perform analysis, and produce reports, realizing "if you can type, you can perform data analysis and judgment," quickly optimizing processes and reducing costs while improving efficiency.

In the production safety zone, large models are embedded in front-end cameras, so hazards such as people entering dangerous areas, failure to wear protective gear as required, and loitering in robotic arm operation zones can be identified and immediately intervened at the front line; for the gas leak problems in refining, chemical, and other industries, the TDLAS gas cloud imaging telemetry instrument integrates three major technologies—laser monitoring, gas cloud imaging, and visible light—and is equipped with large-model enhanced algorithms, greatly improving micro-leak recognition rates; the production safety large-model algorithm software contains more than 70 out-of-the-box algorithms and open interfaces, allowing seamless integration with enterprises' existing video platform systems; the SafetyStar monitoring and early warning client provides a cost-effective single-machine deployment solution, allowing small and medium-sized projects to use large-model applications quickly and at low cost.

Continuing to Cultivate the Industrial Field

Helping Improve Quality, Reduce Costs, Increase Efficiency, and Ensure Safety

As a technology company in the field of intelligent IoT, Hikvision began a strategic adjustment ten years ago, extending its technology system from visible light to multi-dimensional perception, building a multi-dimensional sensing system covering millimeter wave, infrared, X-ray, ultraviolet and other electromagnetic waves, sound waves, and a variety of physical sensing technologies. At the same time, its product lines have expanded from "security" to "non-security," and it has launched a rich portfolio of products for the industrial field, focusing on core scenarios such as quality inspection, equipment monitoring, production operations, and production safety, accelerating the implementation of industrial scenario digitalization and helping improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and ensure safety. Through long-term practical refinement, Hikvision has won market recognition in many niche segments of the industrial field.

Taking industrial cameras and mobile robots as examples, as of now, Hikbot's (Hikvision Robotics) vision products have accumulated shipments of over 10 million units, and mobile robots off the production line have exceeded 200,000 units. In the domestic market, one out of every two industrial cameras and one out of every three mobile robots comes from Hikbot. The company has cumulatively served more than 20,000 customers and implemented over 1,000 niche application scenarios, covering industries such as automotive and auto parts, 3C electronics, lithium batteries, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, footwear and apparel, and photovoltaics.

In industrial inspection scenarios, Hikray formally entered the field of industrial X-ray inspection in 2021. Today, its business covers multiple fields including electronics manufacturing and food, ranking among the industry's top tier, and it has entered the domestic top three in several niche segments. Based on AI capabilities, Hikray continues to tackle highly difficult inspection scenarios—for example, a few years ago it used X-ray combined with AI to inspect foldable phone hinges, upgrading the previous method of manually checking for defects with a magnifying glass to AI-automated full inspection, greatly improving product yield. After the solution was implemented at a leading phone manufacturer, it rapidly expanded across the entire mobile phone industry thanks to the demonstration effect of the benchmark project.

In scenarios such as industrial temperature measurement and production process control, Hikmicro has deeply implemented its technology in the core production processes of industry. Its flagship product, the four-in-one high-definition visible-light pyrometer, has been widely deployed on production sites in industries such as semiconductors, industrial materials, and steel and non-ferrous metals, helping enterprises achieve efficient production and digital management, while also extending to high-end precision scenarios such as automotive casting and university research.

Over the years, Hikvision has adhered to "using itself as a testing ground," applying its self-developed technologies and products first in its own manufacturing bases, covering all production processes and supporting business management optimization and efficiency improvement. For example, the production line behavior SOP detection solution has been launched at more than 600 core workstations in Hikvision's Chongqing, Tonglu, and Wuhan production bases, with a single workstation achieving efficiency gains of up to 80% compared with the original manual method. In 2025, Hikvision's intelligent manufacturing factory was selected into the country's first batch of navigator-level smart factory cultivation lists, providing a replicable and promotable "navigation model" for accelerating the upgrading of Chinese manufacturing.

In addition, the production line behavior SOP detection solution has also achieved large-scale implementation in Li Auto's supply chain system. At Jifeng Seating (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., through the SOP behavior detection system, the miss rate of seat C-shaped staples dropped significantly, to as low as 0.01%; meanwhile, Jifeng Seating also replicated this solution to its own upstream and downstream supplier teams, driving quality upgrades across the entire industrial chain. At United Power, a powertrain supplier, this solution covers 100% of key operating procedures, building a solid quality defense line for the electric drive power of new energy vehicles.

"The digitalization and intelligent upgrading of industry begins with every real scenario. From the collaborative optimization of production processes down to a single production line, a piece of equipment, or a work site... Hikvision is committed to deeply integrating technologies such as IoT sensing and AI into the tens of thousands of industrial scenarios, continuously helping the digitalization of industrial scenarios and creating more value for users," said a Hikvision representative.
