IT之家 News on October 15: AI+AR smart glasses brand Rokid announced today thatthe world's first AI glasses unmanned self-service experience storeofficially opened at Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, China.
This is Rokid's first overseas flagship store, and also the world's first retail space in the AI glasses category centered on "self-service experience."

According to the latest report from market research firm Counterpoint Research, Rokid led the global AI and AR glasses market in the first half of 2026 with a 41% share of shipments.
IT之家 has learned that Rokid's global first AI glasses unmanned self-service experience store is located inthe third floor of Ocean Centre, Harbour City, Hong Kong, with eight immersive experience zones inside the store.

The experience store adopts a fully self-service model, with no sales staff following customers, so consumers are free from sales-script pressure. Each experience zone is equipped with an interactive screen that also functions as a mirror, interconnected with a pair of Rokid AI glasses (Rokid Glasses).
These AI glasses weigh only 49 grams, integrating multiple core functions such as photography, teleprompting, translation, navigation, and AI Q&A. After entering the store, consumers can put them on by themselves following the interactive screen's guidance and independently complete multiple function experiences.

Translation subtitles, speech teleprompting, and navigation arrows appear directly on the lenses; voice can summon the AI assistant, and first-person-view photos can be taken at any time.
Rokid Vice President and Head of International and Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan Business Shao Huaqiang said on site: Consumer habits are undergoing huge changes. A new generation of consumers wants a quiet, undisturbed space where they can freely explore products and experience them at their own pace, rather than being constantly followed by sales staff. Self-directed immersive experience has become a new consumer demand.

According to him, the biggest bottleneck for AI glasses in the past was the cognitive threshold: consumers had never seen them, never touched them, and didn't know how to use them. Rokid has standardized the entire experience process:screen guidance, experience flow, robotic arm pickup. This operational chain can be quickly rolled out to commercial districts worldwide, turning AI glasses from a tech product requiring explanation into an everyday consumer product that anyone can experience on their own.
