Apple's AI layout in the Chinese market has finally seen substantive progress. Tim Cook, Apple's Executive Chairman of the Board, who is currently visiting Shanghai and being interviewed by the media, publicly confirmed that the relevant Apple Intelligence features and the integrated Alibaba Qwen large model have been officially approved, and a beta version will be officially released in the Chinese market later in October this year.

As for the initial feature lineup, this beta will include Live Translation, Writing Tools, and the Clean Up tool in Photos, among the first batch of core Apple Intelligence features. However, the Siri AI features that have drawn much industry attention are not included in the first batch of launch features. Cook said in response that Apple is very pleased to be able to gradually roll out these first core intelligent features to the market.

With the imminent arrival of this beta version, the pace at which Chinese users can experience Apple's native AI capabilities within a compliant framework is accelerating across the board, marking a key step in Apple's development of a localized AI service ecosystem.
