On October 19, the native version of Tencent's AI butler Marvis officially launched on the Galaxy Kylin Software Store, completing deep adaptation for the Galaxy Kylin Desktop Operating System V10SP1, with X86-64 and ARM64 architecture versions provided simultaneously. Users can complete one-click installation and deployment through the Kylin Software Store and immediately use AI office capabilities such as software download and invocation, computer configuration and health checks, document and image search and processing, knowledge retrieval, task automation, and cross-device remote control.
Operating System Level: Deep Adaptation for Galaxy Kylin
Marvis was built by Tencent's YingYongBao (App Treasure) team and officially launched in May 2026. Positioned as a personal AI butler at the operating system level, it currently covers five major platforms: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS. In terms of supporting the domestic software and hardware ecosystem, the Marvis team conducted dedicated adaptation and testing around the Galaxy Kylin desktop environment, providing X86-64 and ARM64 architecture versions simultaneously, with adaptation covering domestic CPU brands such as Phytium, Kunpeng, Hygon, Zhaoxin, Huawei HiSilicon Pangu M900, and Huawei HiSilicon Kirin (990/9006c/9000c), while remaining compatible with mainstream general-purpose computing platforms such as Intel and AMD. It can meet the deployment needs of government and enterprise users across different generations and chip platforms, laying the foundation for serving a broader range of government and enterprise scenarios.
Kylin Software is a technology company under China Electronics Corporation (CEC), with secure and trusted operating system technology at its core. According to its publicly disclosed information, the Galaxy Kylin operating system has been widely deployed in critical areas related to the national economy and people's livelihood, such as government affairs, finance, telecommunications, and energy, achieving over 24 million deployments and serving more than 210,000 users, making it a leading domestic operating system in domestic market share.
The Information Technology Application Innovation industry is accelerating its transition from "usable" to "well-usable," and the richness of the application ecosystem has become a key variable affecting the user experience of government and enterprise users. Marvis's launch on the Kylin Software Store further enriches the application supply of the Galaxy Kylin operating system for intelligent office scenarios. For users, no additional configuration or migration is needed to obtain an AI office experience consistent with mainstream platforms on domestic terminals, which also provides a new application paradigm for the intelligent evolution of domestic operating systems.
Out-of-the-Box AI Office: From Software Management to Document Retrieval
On terminals running the Galaxy Kylin operating system, Marvis currently provides four categories of core capabilities: software management and invocation capabilities, including one-sentence store search, installation, updating, and opening, as well as space cleaning, virus scanning and removal, and vulnerability repair based on the Kylin Security Center and Kylin Manager; computer system operation and maintenance capabilities, including system problem fixes such as battery life optimization, screen brightness adjustment, and theme switching; local document classification, retrieval, and processing, searching materials based on a local knowledge base to serve scenarios such as policy queries, project reviews, weekly reports, and learning research, with the ability to set up automated tasks to reduce repetitive work; and cross-device collaboration, allowing remote viewing and management of computer tasks via mobile phone to maintain work continuity in mobile office scenarios.
Taking software management as an example: on an office terminal running the Galaxy Kylin operating system, the user only needs to give one command—"Go to the software store and find WPS, install it and open it for me"—and Marvis will search for and find the genuine WPS software through the Kylin "Software Store" and execute the installation and open WPS. Compared with searching online for download channels, risking downloading the wrong software, or hunting through multiple windows for entry points, users only need to state which software they want, and Marvis can provide one-stop software butler services covering downloading, installation, and uninstallation.
Addressing the common pain point of "too many files, messy naming, can't find anything," Marvis supports retrieving local materials by semantic description—for example, "find the project materials that mention the pilot being expanded to two departments but whose training materials are not yet complete"—allowing users to locate target documents without remembering file names or rummaging through folders one by one.
According to reports, Marvis adopts an endpoint-cloud hybrid technical architecture, supporting task execution through endpoint-cloud coordinated scheduling of cutting-edge large models. From the demand side, the Information Technology Application Innovation industry is precisely the environment where endpoint intelligence can deliver the most value: the strict requirements of government offices for data sovereignty and intranet isolation make the endpoint model of "computing power local, data never leaving the domain" a highly suitable fit; and the dedicated network and intranet environments where many government terminals operate also require AI capabilities to remain available under limited network conditions. Marvis will continue to improve its endpoint models and localized deployment capabilities, making intelligent office work in domestic environments more secure, autonomous, and controllable.
A relevant Marvis team representative stated that launching on the Kylin Software Store is Marvis's first step in supporting domestic operating systems and domestic hardware at the business level. In the Information Technology Application Innovation direction, Marvis will work with Kylin Software to continuously build the AI agent ecosystem for domestic operating systems, and will keep improving the product's capabilities in endpoint models and localized deployment, providing users with a better and safer intelligent office experience.
Currently, Marvis has opened cooperation channels to government departments, state-owned enterprises, and industry partners, and can be installed through the Kylin Software Store. As endpoint capabilities and the Information Technology Application Innovation ecosystem continue to evolve, the combination of "domestic operating system + AI" will open up greater space for intelligent government office work.
