IT Home On October 19, Vast AI Engine, under ByteDance, launched a premium AI drama incentive program to offer incentives for premium AI short dramas produced using Seedance and released on the Hongguo Short Drama App.
IT Home noticed that the announcement states that eligible AI dramas are ranked monthly based on the Hongguo popularity value. After entering the top 50 of AI dramas for that month and passing the review, they will receive corresponding incentives. Among the top 10 in the monthly rankings, each work can receive up to 200,000 yuan in incentives. The deadline for applying for the first phase of this activity is January 31, 2027. The specific arrangements will be subject to the final explanation by Volcano’s official department.
From the entry requirements, the program explicitly excludes real-person filmed dramas and focuses on AI-generated forms such as AI漫 dramas and AI simulated human dramas. The announcement also requires that all video content of the submitted works be produced by Seedance, and the usage of Seedance 2.5 must account for more than 50%; there are no restrictions on the method of generation, whether through API or tool platforms. In terms of popularity, the works must make it into the TOP50 of Red Fruit AI dramas in the submitting month; regarding the submitters, both enterprises and individuals can apply, but they must ensure that the submitter, the work, and the creative information are true, complete, and consistent.
In terms of compliance verification, the announcement sets relatively strict post-verification requirements: shortlisted works must complete the verification of the work and generation records, agree to be tested by Kuaishou Engine, and submit the original generation materials if necessary. Those that fail the verification or make false claims will have their incentive eligibility revoked.
The incentive amount is classified according to monthly popularity rankings: TOP1—10 units at 200,000 yuan, TOP11—20 units at 100,000 yuan, and TOP21—50 units at 50,000 yuan. The distribution method is “50% cash + 50% equivalent voucher”. The voucher option must be chosen from one of three options during registration: an equivalent Volcano Ark API Token, an equivalent “Drama Creation” usage rights, or an equivalent “Manga Creation Tool” usage rights.
